Having pioneered the ultimately unsuccessful forward-facing exhaust system on its 2011 car, the newly-renamed Lotus team was forced into an almost complete redesign for the forthcoming season, the fruit of which was unveiled to the world just over a week ago. Built from 11,000 technical drawings – 28% more than any previous car from Enstone – the E20 features more subtle changes than those demanded by the regulations.
